Hi, I'm Kestral

Hello, World.
My name is Kestral, and I'm a writer, hacker, ethicist, lecturer, demoscener, playwright, researcher... general nerd, really, and have been for a fairly large chunk of the last several ice ages. Right now I'm based in the United Kingdom, and split my time between a day job in education, and the rest of my time either doing creative hacking or creative writing. I'm a published author, and am working on a play right now that I'm hoping will workshop later in 2024 and get put on in 2025.
I really believe in a free and open web. The world we live in should be repairable, hackable, and open - and the web should be a resource, a tool, and an exchange of knowledge and ideas rather than the corporate hellscape it seems to have become.
I'm fervently queer, agressively anti-predjudice, and quite good at making soup. Great to meet you all.
