Here to mess around on a tilde. I have been a pubnix user for a very long time under a different account name, here trying something new, "getting the sillies out" by playing with wikis and wanting to generate content finally. After failing at blogging over many years, I like the idea of shaking off the yoke of dates and posts away and following more of a "Digital Garden" and Commonplace book model. I really want to set up some digital Commonplace books as I see where the web is going: Closed off, pay-walled, mobile-app requiring, register-and-login-to-see. My recipe and article links are disappearing behind these walls, such that the distributed promise of the WWW seems to have curdled under all the monetization and eye-ball having. So I am going to start copy/pasting what I find (and linking it still) so to ensure its availability to *me*.
So I'm playing with wikis and other content management systems I can set up hither and thither, like here. You can see that here on my green site: https://tilde.green/~gorf/?page=Wiki+Investigation, which I hope perhaps can help other new folks starting here.
I am also interested that ~green has external-reaching mail, which other tildes I have seen do not!
**EDIT** I don't mean to sound so dour. I'm here to try cool new things and play at the shell prompt!
Hi, I'm Gorf

Nice, be welcomed here
Some other tildes also do, but some don't and there's also a few which only allow mail from a list of allowed domains
Your books thing seems interesting.
